  Dorota Gruca finished 2010 in grand fashion for distance runners winning her last 4 races in a row! Starting with a 15K win in October, Dorota then won the Poland Marathon National Championship on October 24 in Debno. She returned to the US to win the Phoenix 10K with a new course record on November 07. To celebrate her 40th birthday on December 05, Dorota Gruca ran the Zappos.com Las Vegas Rock'N'Roll Marathon winning by over 14 minutes with a time of 2:44:36! 
  Dorota enjoyed a successful year running in the United States and Poland in 2010 as a world class professional distance runner and coach from Poland. In 2010 Dorota Gruca also completed course work as a Certified Personal Trainer for coaching and training athletes and individuals.  
  Dorota Gruca continues to hold the 10K Poland National record and the Mexico Record for Female in a Marathon race.

Three races in a row in 2014 including two 3Peats (Carlsbad 5000 and Bloomsday 12K 2012-2014 Masters wins) and 1 Repeat (Crescent City Classic 10K 2013-2014 Masters win). With a Boston qualified time on the books from California International Marathon in December 2013 the future is wide open for this Polish runner.

Dorota Gruca has been a professional distance runner for over twenty years running races all over the world. She grew up in a village in Poland, shared time living in Poland and the U.S. for ten years and has lived and trained in Las Cruces, NM, USA since 2009. 5Ks to marathons, local events to National Championships, the 2005 World Championships and the 2008 Olympics, road races and on the track she has done it all. Dorota won many races along the way and now at age 42 continues to be one of the leading female Masters (age 40+) runners in the world today.

On her 40th birthday in 2010 Dorota won the Zappos.com Las Vegas Rock'N'Roll Marathon, her second marathon win in six weeks after winning the 2010 Poland National Championship. Since then she has won or placed 2nd in the female Masters division, or placed top 2 Overall in over 25 races all over Poland and the United States. Dorota has 2 year Masters win streaks at the Carlsbad 5000, Bloomsday 12K, and Freihofer's Run for Women 5K, and 2nd place Masters at the Peachtree 10K Road Race. She has placed 2nd overall two years in a row at P.F. Chang's Rock'N'Roll Phoenix Half-Marathon improving by 2 minutes in 2013 (1:15:56) over 2012. In 2013 Dorota has added Masters wins at the Crescent City Classic 10K in March and  Crim Festival of Races 10 Mile on August 24. In September she added another repeat Masters win at Philadelphia Rock'N'Roll Half Marathon.

In early 2011 Dorota Gruca put a sign in the window of her car saying "Experience the mental, physical, and social benefits of running! Meet Tue and Thu 6pm, Sat 8am at NMSU Track" which attracted runners that has grown to become Las Cruces Running Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and promoting running activities as well as producing running events. Dorota is a Founder and Board member. In 2011 Dorota Gruca became a USA Track and Field  Certified Coach and in 2012 a New Mexico Activities Association Coach while beginning her college education at New Mexico State University where she is a Crimson Scholar after her first four semesters. There are no signs of Dorota slowing down in her 40's as she continues to pursue her education and professional running goals. "The marathon is calling me, I want to do this again and qualify for Boston," said Dorota Gruca when asked about her future. As she increases her weekly training miles and improves her racing speed Dorota Gruca continues to win in the classroom and in running events around the world!
